Certification bodies
In the overview below, you will find the 19 certification bodies affiliated with SCCM for the certification schemes ISO 14001, ISO 14001/CO2 reduction management, ISO 50001 and ISO 45001.
Benefits of affiliation with SCCM
Affiliation with SCCM offers certification bodies the following benefits in summary:
- Use of a certification scheme that is aligned with all stakeholders
- Harmonization of interpretations and working methods with other certification bodies
- Publication of issued certificates in SCCM’s central database
- Training for auditors
- Access to summaries of the most important laws and regulations (for both auditors and certified organizations)
Supervision by the Dutch Accreditation Council
The certification bodies are supervised by the Dutch Accreditation Council (RvA). The RvA is the accreditation body designated by the government in the Netherlands. Most certification bodies affiliated with SCCM certify on the basis of RvA accreditation. The contact details of each certification body indicate which accreditation(s) they operate under. Supervision by the accreditation body may occasionally result in the suspension of a certification body for accredited activities (or part of them). The RvA website contains an overview of any suspensions.
Exceptions to RvA supervision
For ISO 50001, not all certification bodies operate under the supervision of an accreditation body. The CO2 reduction scheme with ISO 14001 is an SCCM scheme and is not supervised by the RvA. For these schemes, SCCM itself supervises the conduct of the audits, checking whether agreements are being complied with and whether the quality of the audits, auditors, and reports is sufficiently high.
