Board
The board is responsible for SCCM policy and its implementation. The board consists of two representatives from business, two representatives from government, and one representative from the affiliated certification bodies. Meetings are held approximately four times a year. In the overview, each board member is shown together with the organization that appointed them and the organization for which they work.

Central College of Experts for the environment and Energy (CCvD-M)
The CCvD-M gives the board binding advice on the “rules of the game” for certification. The CCvD-M has 15 seats available (5 for business / 5 for government / 5 for third-party stakeholders). Not all seats need to be filled. Members are appointed by the board. The CCvD-M meets at least twice a year. Twice a year there is a consultation with the affiliated certification bodies. In addition to the organization they represent within SCCM, CCvD members hold a position at the organization indicated in parentheses.

Central College of Experts Occupationial health & Safety (CCvD-OH&S)

The CCvD has a maximum of 15 seats available (5 for business, 5 for government and insurance companies, and 5 for third-party stakeholders). Not all seats need to be filled. Members are appointed by the board. The CCvD-OH&S meets at least twice a year. Twice a year there is a consultation with the affiliated certification bodies.

Appeals Committee (CvB)
The Appeals Committee (CvB) issues binding rulings when an appeal is filed against board decisions regarding, for example, the content of the established rules or decisions regarding the registration of organizations as participants in the EMAS regulation. If an appeal is filed, the board appoints the chair of the CvB that will hear the appeal. The chair of the CvB is responsible for composing the committee that will handle the relevant appeal case.
